Your photos stay on your phone. Fondly never sends them anywhere, and we never see them. What Fondly knows about them stays with you, not with us.

Your photos

Fondly reads the photos you allow it to use and shows them back to you in a feed. There is no account, no advertising, and nothing that follows you around.

People

Fondly reads faces on your phone to group photos of the same person. That face data never goes to the developer. You can turn face grouping off and delete every face, group, and name in Settings.

Places

When Fondly names a place or formats a photo’s date in its capture-time zone, Apple’s geocoding service receives that photo’s coordinates. Nothing else about the photo is sent, and Fondly receives no copy of your library.

What Fondly keeps

Fondly keeps its index, names, hides, bookmarks, and what it has learned until you remove them. Reset my taste clears the learning and leaves your hides in place. Erase all Fondly data removes everything Fondly holds without changing your Photos library.

Apple

Fondly uses Apple services for your iCloud library, place names, notifications, sharing, and device backups. Apple handles those under your own Apple settings and Apple’s terms. Fondly’s developer collects no data.
